Porcello Signed to $7.3 Million Contract

The Tigers have reached an agreement on a $7.3 million contract with first round draft pick Rick Porcello. It was the biggest contract ever guaranteed to a draft pick coming out of high school. This is the fourth straight year that the Tigers have signed a premier talent out of the draft. In previous years, they inked Justin Verlander, Cameron Maybin and Andrew Miller. This is very exciting news.
