Also, Billfer has a couple of very interesting posts on the hacking Tigers. He goes into detail on their performance on the first pitch in the count. His first post suggests that they may actually be benefitting from all their first pitch swinging. The second post compares their performance on the first pitch with men on base and with the bases empty.
