Gordon Signs with Phillies

According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a three year deal with Tom Gordon. Three years is a lot for a 38 year old but it's definitely a player's market this year. Giving a big contract to a pitcher his age makes more sense for the Phillies who can win now than the Tigers who probably can't. The Tigers will now probably concentrate their efforts on Trevor Hoffman.
