Kenny Baugh Traded to Padres

The Tigers traded Kenny Baugh to the San Diego Padres today for RHP Ricky Steik. The trade was made in order to make room on the 40 man roster for Kenny Rogers who was officially signed today. The 21 year old Steik pitched in the low class A Midwest League this year compiling a 2.40 ERA while striking out 53 and walking 24 in 60 innings. Former first round pick Kenny Baugh pitched 165 innings for AAA Toledo this year with an ERA of 3.38 and a 107/60 K/BB ratio. I'm a little surprised the Tigers did not give Baugh a shot at making the 25 man roster either last Summer or next Spring. I don't know a great deal about Steik. He's not a top prospect but apparently the Tigers feel he has a better chance than Baugh to help them down the road. The full story can be found at MLB.COM

  3. that would be awesome, Lee. I'm trying to think of a good way to value stolen bases and caught stealing. Also everybody has been pointing out I should do something with errors and HBP. If you have ideas for changes let me know, this will definitely be a work in progress.
