Ten More Cut by Tigers

According to the Detroit Tigers Weblog, the Tigers announced another round of cuts this morning. They included outfielder Brent Clevlen and catcher Mike Rabelo who were optioned to AAA Toledo. Assigned to minor league camp were pitchers Craig Dingman, Dennis Tankersley and Joey Eischen, infielders Brent Dlugach, Mike Hessman and Kevin Hooper and outfielders Brandon Watson and Cameron Maybin. Dlugach is likely headed to AA Erie, Maybin to A level Lakeland and the rest to Toledo. There are no surprises on the list as none were strong candidates to make the Tigers out of spring training. Cameron Maybin was the most impressive rookie position player in camp but he needs more time in the minors.
