Between this site and Motownsports, I'm getting some good sample sizes for the community projections so I'll move forward with the rest of the players. This week, I'm asking you to give your projections for Curtis Granderson and Jacque Jones. Let's see if you guys can do better than PECOTA, Bill James and ZIPS. Please put your projections for Granderson and Jones in the comments. These are the categories:

Blake, I'm curious as to why you think he'll have 580 AB's. That's lower than his last two seasons and I don't see anyone taking away AB's.
Also, I meant 607 AB
ReplyDeleteAB: 580 -Rayburn will likely platoon in center against lefties (if leyland is smart about it
ReplyDeleteBA: .295
OBP: .355
SLG: .500

RBI 71
SB: 25
Jones: Not offering an opinion except that I think he'll do okay since he'll likely only play against righties.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking. I assume Raburn will eventually get some of those at bats and there's a chance that Inge will take some as well. I'm also assuming he misses a week or so with some small injury. He's never really been hurt so I figure he's due. I also thought he might be a bit more selective and walk a few extra times.
ReplyDeleteThat all added up to fewer at bats. We shall see.
Here's my projection for Grandy:
ReplyDeleteAB: 610
BA: .295
OBP: .369
SLG: .545
HR: 25
RBI: 77
SB: 28
On second thought... I'd like to up my SB prediction to 31.
