Redman Signed, Maybin Keeps Hitting

I'm sure most of you either went to the Tigers home opener today or watched/listened to the game some other way so I won't re-cap it. I'll probably be doing my first statistical analysis of the season tomorrow.

According to the Toledo Blade, Tike Redman joined the Toledo Mudhens today and replaces Nook Logan on the roster. Logan, who recently broke the little finger on his right hand, could miss up to a month. Redman spent parts of the last 5 years with the Pittsburgh Pirates playing in 392 games and batting .277/.312/.378.

In today's minor league action, the big story was Cameron Maybin who doubled, singled, walked and stole a base and is now batting .471 in his first 4 games. For a re-cap of the rest of the games, check out the Detroit Tiger Weblog and if you want a very detailed discussion of all theTiger minor league happenings, check out the Motown Sports minor league forum.
