Wilkin Ramirez Coming to Detroit

A source close to the Tigers is reporting that the Tigers will be calling up Wilkin Ramirez to replace Magglio Ordonez who was placed on the bereavement list yesterday. The 23 year old outfielder was batting .316/.385/.487 with 14 stolen bases at AAA Toledo. He was 12 for 22 with four homers in has last six games. With a crowded outfield of Curtis Granderson, Ordonez, Clete Thomas, Josh Anderon and Ryan Raburn and Marcus Thames and Carlos Guillen coming back eventually, it's not likely that this will be a permanent call-up. However, Wilkin should at least get his feet wet in the Rangers series as I doubt a top prospect is getting called up to sit on the bench.
