Line-up for First Game

As you all know by now, game one of the series was postponed until noon today. Here is the Tigers line-up versus right-hander Nick Blackburn:

Curtis Granderson, CF
Placido Polanco, 2B
Clete Thomas, RF
Miguel Cabrera, 1B
Aubrey Huff, DH
Carlos Guillen, LF
Gerald Laird, C
Brandon Inge, 3B
Ramon Santiago, SS

Ordonez would have started last night versus Blackburn but apparently Leyland does not want him playing both ends of the doubleheader. I know people don't like to see Thomas batting third but I've gotten used to the fact that Leyland always bats a substitute in the same spot in the line-up as the player he is replacing.

It looks like Laird will be catching both games. If Leyland wanted Avila to catch one of the games, it would have been this one against the the right-hander. Lefty Brian Duensing pitches the nightcap.

In game 2, I imagine we'll see Ordonez, Marcus Thames, Ryan Raburn and Adam Everett replacing Thomas, Huff, Guillen and Santiago respectively.
