Albert Pujols.

All is quiet with the Tigers this week but my second favorite team won in dramatic fashion last night. I'm sure everyone has seen Albert Pujols's two out three run homerun by now. I stayed up late to watch the end of the game but was not expecting much from the Cardinals at that point. I was just hoping he would not make the last out. Then he hit the mammoth shot.

I have been a Pujols fan from day one and he's one of my all time favorite players. He is one of the players that links three generations of fans - me, my father and my nephew. If the Cardinals go on to win this series, that will become one of the most memorable homeruns in the history of the game, not just for my family but for all of baseball. It won't be easy for the Cardinals against Oswalt and Clemens but I'm going to go against my sabermetric tendencies and say that the Cardinals will ride their new momentun into the World Sries.
